Pro Green Pops the Question to Millie Mackintosh… with a Princess Cut Diamond Ring

The Professor and the Princess

It’s a match made in… Chelsea for reality show starlet Millie Mackintosh and her rapper beau Professor Green. The couple has just announced their engagement, following a romantic holiday in Paris where the Professor (real name Stephen Manderson) popped the question in their favourite restaurant. Posting a picture of her glam new ring on Twitter and Instagram, 23-year-old Millie was bubbling over with excitement, exclaiming “If I could scream loud enough for the whole world to hear I would”! The princess cut engagement ring is bang on trend for 2013 – it’s modern and romantic at the same time. Congratulations have been pouring in online from fellow celebs, and the couple, who have been dating since 2011, both seem totally lovestruck.

Diamond-Studded Drama

Make-up artist and Quality Street heiress Millie isn’t the only one sporting a sparkly stone this week – it looks like congratulations are in order (again) for Miley Cyrus, who is wearing her Neil Lane engagement ring once more. The singer sparked more than a few break-up rumours when she was snapped without her engagement ring – a 3.5 carat cushion-cut diamond beauty given to her by actor Liam Hemsworth in June last year. Now, after some emotional “crisis talks” between the celeb couple, the ring is back on and so is the wedding.

Tweeting Lovebirds

Meanwhile, Jamie Lynn Spears also announced her engagement on Twitter earlier this month – Britney’s baby sister is all grown up and getting ready to tie the knot with long-time boyfriend James Watson. The round brilliant cut diamond is a timeless classic – and Jamie Lynn certainly approved of her man’s choice of ring, tweeting “#hedidgood”.
